2013-batch IAS officer appointed Deputy Secretary in 8th Pay Commission

New Delhi, April 15, 2026: Smitha Mol M S, a 2013-batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the 8th Central Pay Commission under the Department of Expenditure.
The appointment, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on April 11, 2026, has been made on a lateral shift basis. She is currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Her tenure in the new role will be co-terminus with the 8th Pay Commission and is extendable up to April 14, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
