  Chandigarh, April 19, 2026: Senior Congress leader Pargat Singh has questioned promotion of two officers to PCS who are facing action on alleged corruption.
  
  In a social media post, he said “Punjab’s Chief Secretary has promoted two officers - Tehsildar Ramandeep Kaur and DRO Karun Gupta - to PCS grade, even though one is under suspension and the other has been charge-sheeted in 2026.”
