IAS officer Jasbir Singh assumes charge as Additional Secretary, General administration

Jasbir Singh has assumed charge as the Additional Secretary for General Administration and Coordination, along with the additional role of Director of Hospitality at the Secretariat on last Monday.
Jasbir Singh, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2018 batch from the Punjab cadre, has been making remarkable strides in governance and public administration. With a solid academic background that includes an M.B.A., Singh has consistently demonstrated his dedication to public service and effective administration. His career trajectory reflects a commitment to fostering sustainable development and improving the quality of life for citizens
Earlier, he was serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner in the Urban Development Department in Jalandhar a position he took on September 23, 2024. Jasbir Singh has been in the forefront of addressing urban challenges in Jallandur. His role has been spearheading initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure, housing, and overall living standards for residents.
Before his current role, Jasbir Singh held various positions at the district level, where he gained invaluable experience in grassroots governance. These roles allowed him to develop a nuanced understanding of public affairs management and the intricacies of addressing local concerns.
