3-day training for Census 2027 Begins at Ferozepur Municipal Council

Ferozepur, April 22, 2026: To ensure the smooth, accurate and effective conduct of Census 2027, a three-day training programme on house listing and enumeration has commenced at the Municipal Council Ferozepur under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma.
The primary objective of the training is to carry out the first phase of the census in a scientific and digital manner, laying a strong foundation for subsequent stages of planning and execution.
During the programme, Incharge Officer Sukhpal Singh (Superintendent), Inspector Abhishek, Field Trainers Ashav Bajaj, Sarabjit Singh Bhawra, Rajnish Kamboj, Ritik, and District Master Trainers Malkiat Singh Haraj and Sukhjinder Singh provided detailed insights into all key aspects of the census process. Participants from various departments attended the training with enthusiasm.
The trainers explained in a clear and practical manner the methods of house listing, accurate identification of structures, enumeration of households, data collection techniques, and record-filling procedures. They emphasized that house listing is the most crucial phase of the census, as all future processes depend on its accuracy. Officials were urged to perform their duties with honesty, responsibility, and diligence.
The session also covered potential field-level challenges such as difficulties in data collection, communication issues with the public, and technical problems, along with practical solutions. Special focus was laid on the use of modern digital tools to make the process more efficient, faster, and transparent.
