Unsung hero for social transformation: Governor honours Dr. Aniruddh Gupta
Ferozepur, May 4, 2026: Renowned educationist and CEO of DCM Group of Schools, Dr. Aniruddh Gupta, has been honoured with the Unsung Hero Award for Social Transformation for his outstanding contributions across multiple sectors in the state. The award was presented by Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at a grand event held at Chandigarh, marking the 45th anniversary of the Art of Living Foundation and the 70th birthday of its founder, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
Praising Dr. Gupta’s efforts, Governor Kataria stated that his work in education, youth empowerment, and social development is truly commendable. He highlighted that despite being in a border district, Dr. Gupta has significantly contributed to modern education, sports development, skill enhancement, and self-reliance among youth, setting an inspiring example for others.
Dr. Gupta has made remarkable contributions in diverse fields including education, employment generation, social service, media, entrepreneurship, and heritage conservation. He has received over 100 awards and recognitions, including seven-time Edupreneur of the Year, Edu Leader of the Year, Times Power Icon Award 2021, and BAT Asia Leadership Award 2021. He has also been honoured with “The Pride of Indian Education Award” at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.
Widely regarded as a catalyst for regional development, Dr. Gupta is directly and indirectly providing employment to around 3,500 families in Ferozepur. His continued efforts have significantly strengthened the district’s economy, with many locals considering him a true asset to the region.
