CM Mann after meeting Nitin Gadkari: Punjab to receive Rs 400 crore CRIS Fund for roads; Watch Video

New Delhi, May 13, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said Punjab will receive a ₹400 crore CRIS fund from the Centre for the upkeep of roads and national highways after his meeting with Nitin Gadkari in Delhi.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mann said discussions were held on widening state highways and upgrading several roads to national highways in Punjab.
“I met Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari today. During the meeting, the issue of widening of state highways and upgrading of highways to national highways was taken up,” Mann said.
The Punjab Chief Minister further said Gadkari assured support to the state through the release of CRIS funds.
“I would like to thank the minister for promising to give the CRIS fund of Rs 400 crores to Punjab. This fund will be used for upkeep of roads and national highways,” he added.
