Weather Alert: Rain likely across 13 Punjab districts

Chandigarh, July 13, 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain at isolated places in 13 districts of Punjab on Monday, while Chandigarh is expected to witness cloudy skies with chances of rain and thundershowers throughout the day.
Following rainfall in parts of the state over the past 24 hours, Punjab recorded a slight dip in temperatures, with the maximum temperature falling by an average of 0.7 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Centre, Chandigarh.
Despite the decline, temperatures across the state remained close to normal for this time of the year.
Bathinda Airport recorded the highest maximum temperature in Punjab at 36.1 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
The IMD has advised residents in the affected districts to remain alert for brief spells of rain and thunderstorms during the day.
