  Chandigarh, July 16, 2026: Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing Behbal Kalan firing case has summoned Shiromani Akali Dal President and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. He has been told to appear before SIT on Monday.
  
  Earlier SIT had summoned BJP leader Vijay Sampla in the case. It is being alleged that before action against protestors, former MLA Mantar Brar had talked to the then CM, Home Minister and DGP. OSD to former CM has also confirmed that order to remove protestors was issued late night.
