Motivational Marathoner Surender Ahluwalia Joins Sufiya Sufi's 5,000-km Run in Punjab

Chandigarh, July 16, 2026: Motivational marathoner Surender Ahluwalia, popularly known as the "Green Lady of Patiala," joined ultra-endurance runner Sufiya Sufi as she entered Punjab on Day 61 of her inspiring 5,000-km "Run for Dreams" from Kanyakumari to Karakoram, a mission dedicated to the Indian Armed Forces and aimed at creating a Guinness World Record.
Facilitated by the CDR Running Community, the welcome run on the Ambala–Rajpura Highway witnessed Surender Ahluwalia, Arshleen Ahluwalia, and fellow runners Preetam, I. S. Hundal, Jass, RJ, Ashok, Deep, Jagmeet, Balwan, and Manish, along with other running enthusiasts, accompany Sufiya as she entered Punjab.
Surender Ahluwalia praised Sufiya's determination, calling her journey a tribute to India's Armed Forces and an inspiration for people to embrace fitness, resilience, and purpose.
Endurance runner Arshleen Ahluwalia, Co-founder of Sambh Sambhal Foundation, said, "It was an honour to be part of Sufiya's inspiring journey. I am grateful to CDR for facilitating this opportunity and was delighted to run a few miles alongside her. Her endurance, discipline, and purpose are truly inspiring."
The welcome run reflected the spirit of the running community coming together to support an extraordinary mission driven by courage, commitment, and a passion for creating history.
Now on Day 64, Sufiya Sufi has crossed Punjab and is continuing her inspiring journey towards Jammu & Kashmir, moving closer to completing her historic 5,000-km mission.
