Ferozepur Railway Division records 45% rise in tractor freight loading
Ferozepur, August 18: Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar, the Business Development Unit (BDU) of Ferozepur Railway Division has achieved another significant milestone in freight loading.
Through regular meetings with stakeholders and improved coordination, the division recorded 35 rakes of tractor loading in July 2026, compared to 24 rakes during the corresponding period last year, marking an increase of nearly 45 per cent.
The rise in tractor loading has not only contributed to an increase in freight traffic but has also resulted in higher railway revenue. The availability of economical, time-bound and ‘door-to-door’ freight services by the Railways has further strengthened the confidence of traders and customers in rail transportation.
The achievement reflects the efficient functioning, coordination and customer-friendly services being provided by the Ferozepur Division. The division continues to make concerted efforts to promote freight transportation, attract new customers and provide better and more convenient services to existing customers.
