The games have become a significant feature on Punjab’s sporting calendar, bringing athletes from different parts of the state onto a common platform and giving fresh impetus to the state’s efforts to revive its traditional sporting culture.
Security takes centre stage
With the Chief Minister scheduled to inaugurate the event, security has become a key priority for the district administration. Senior officials reviewed the arrangements at the stadium and stressed that every agency involved in the event must remain prepared to respond swiftly to any situation.
The police deployment has been briefed to ensure crowd management, security of the venue and dignitaries, regulated movement and maintenance of law and order during the ceremony.
