Opposition has no issue left for 2027 Punjab polls, says Harpal Juneja

Patiala (Punjab), September 14, 2026: PRTC Chairman and Aam Aadmi Party leader Harpal Juneja has claimed that opposition parties in Punjab have been left with no major issue to take to voters ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, asserting that the Bhagwant Mann-led government has fulfilled its promises and undertaken several welfare measures.
Juneja made the remarks while interacting with residents during a public meeting in the Gandhi Nagar and Lahori Gate areas of Patiala.
During the interaction, local residents thanked AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, claiming that the promises made by the party during the 2022 Assembly elections had been implemented.
Residents also apprised Juneja of pending works in their wards. He assured them that the issues raised during the meeting would be taken up and resolved at the earliest.
Juneja also said the old bus stand adjoining the area, which has remained non-functional for a long period, would be reconstructed and handed over for public use soon. He said redevelopment of the old bus stand would benefit local shopkeepers as well as residents of the city.
Several local residents and party workers, including Johnny Atwal, Rajesh Kaushal, Rajesh Kehar, Sheetal Adivasi, Rajesh Kala, Harinder Joa, Sonu Atwal, Lovely Achhoot, Rohit Atwal, Jeevan Gill, Regan Atwal, Rajinder Mattu, Sami Devi, Renu Rani, Sonu Devi and Bunny Sahota, were present during the meeting.
