Breaking: AAP MLA accused of slapping tipper driver in Ludhiana

Ludhiana (Punjab), September 15, 2026: A heated argument broke out between Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajinder Kaur Chhina and a tippertruck driver on Daba Road in Ludhiana on Monday evening, following which the driver accused the MLA of slapping him. Chhina, however, has denied the allegation.
According to preliminary information, the dispute began after the MLA stopped the tipper driver over alleged rash and high-speed driving. The argument subsequently escalated.
The incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area. The tipper driver was later handed over to the police.
Following the incident, tipper truck drivers staged a protest on Gill Road on Monday night, expressing anger over the alleged incident.
Police are investigating the matter and examining CCTV footage to establish the facts of the incident.
