Election Bugle: AAP launches major door-to-door campaign in Punjab, CM Mann unveils poster

Ludhiana (Punjab), September 19, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday formally launched its campaign for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann releasing the party's election campaign pamphlet in Ludhiana.
The party is set to begin a statewide door-to-door outreach campaign on September 20, with around 2.68 lakh booth committee members expected to visit households across Punjab.
The campaign will focus on taking the Bhagwant Mann government's work and achievements to people at the grassroots level. Party workers and leaders will also interact with residents and gather feedback on local issues.
Mann is scheduled to participate personally in the door-to-door campaign from Dhuri, his Assembly constituency, when the statewide drive begins on Sunday.
The campaign will cover the state's 25,332 polling booths, with booth-level teams tasked with reaching households. A membership drive is also being launched alongside the outreach programme.
The formal campaign launch took place at an indoor stadium on Pakhowal Road in Ludhiana, where Mann released the party's election pamphlet in the presence of party leaders, legislators and workers.
AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia had earlier announced the statewide campaign, describing it as an effort to present the government's four-and-a-half-year record directly to the public.
The door-to-door exercise is expected to continue for about a month and comes ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections
