  Chandigarh, September 24, 2026: In a significant development Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has approved restoration of District Level Patwari Cadre from State cadre in a meeting with Patwar Union leaders after which Union has called off its proposed strike.
  
  Punjab Cabinet will give approval for revival of District level cadre for Patwaris which will ensure removal of problems in deciding seniority and promotions.
  
  Chief Minister also ordered recruitment of more than one thousand Patwaris.
