Exclusive Breaking: High Court Warrant Officer Conducts Midnight Inspection of ED Search Operation at GMADA Office

Mohali/Chandigarh, September 24, 2026: A High Court-appointed Warrant Officer conducted a midnight inspection of the ongoing ED search operation at the GMADA office in Phase 8, Mohali, in the early hours of Thursday.
According to information available, the Warrant Officer reached the GMADA office at around 2:00 AM and remained there until approximately 5:30 AM, inspecting the ongoing proceedings.
The development came after the Punjab Government approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court, challenging the ED action and questioning its legality. Taking up the matter during a late-night special hearing, the High Court appointed a Warrant Officer to visit the site and monitor the ED's search-and-seizure operations. The officer has been directed to submit a status report to the Court by 2:00 PM on September 24.
