Technical Quiz Competition held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University
Ferozepur, October 16, 2026: The Department of Computer Applications at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University (SBSSU), organised a Technical Quiz Competition today under the visionary leadership and guidance of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar Sharma. The initiative was coordinated under the supervision of Mrs. Bindu Bala, Head of the Department, along with faculty members Mr. Amardeep Chopra, Mrs. Nisha Gupta, and other members of CASCAT (Computer Application Society for Cultural and Technical Events).
The event aimed to sharpen students’ analytical thinking, technical acumen, and problem-solving skills, while offering a competitive platform to assess knowledge across information technology, core computer applications, and emerging technological trends.
A total of 11 teams, comprising five students each from the MCA and BCA programs, actively contested in the rigorous multi-round quiz. Following a keen contest, the top three positions were secured by the teams - First Position: Jassika (MCA 3rd Sem), Komalpreet Sidhu (MCA 3rd Sem), Roohi (MCA 3rd Sem), Dev (BCA 3rd Sem), and Sharnpreet Kaur (BCA 3rd Sem). Second Position: Anmol (MCA 3rd Sem), Divya (MCA 1st Sem), Anshika (BCA 3rd Sem), Sarbjeet Singh (MCA 1st Sem), and Palak (MCA 1st Sem). Third Position: Gurnoor (BCA 3rd Sem), Sarbjeet Singh (BCA 3rd Sem), Anmoldeep (BCA 3rd Sem), Jashanpreet Singh (BCA 3rd Sem), and Shivraj (BCA 3rd Sem).
Congratulating the winning teams and all participants, the V-C underscored the significance of regularly conducting technical and co-curricular activities to foster peer learning, team spirit, and professional readiness for future industry roles. Merit certificates were awarded to the position holders in recognition of their academic excellence.
