Ferozepur, February 14, 2018: The old timers of Ferozepur have welcomed the decision of the Division Bench of Punjab and Haryana High Court staying the order quashing the appointment of Suresh Kumar as Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh
Suresh Kumar remained Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur from 1990 to 1992 a period when terrorism was prevailing in the state.
Sharing his association with the bureaucrat, Dr.Richard David, retired Director, Frances Newton Hospital (Mission Hospital), Ferozepur said, Suresh Kumar was never afraid of the situation and always helped the victims of terrorists by personally visiting the hospitals to ensure the treatment of injured even in the mid-night.
Another retiree, Ram Murti, from DC office, who had also worked under Suresh Kumar, spoke highly about his honesty, sincerity and dedication to work. He said during those days, anybody could meet him fearlessly and get their genuine work done without any 'sifarish' and in accordance with rules.
