Dear Government, please feel the pain!............by Navpreet Brar
One of my colleagues is diagnosed with typhoid and then COVID He was rushed in the ambulance to the hospital emergency and after the preliminary treatment, he was prescribed for ICU admission. After so much of calling here and there throughout Tricity, just one bed became available in some far-off hospital in Kharar. Oxygen levels dropped and he is still struggling, surviving on the oxygen cylinder. My heart is trembling and my hands are shivering when I am writing this. I experienced this helplessness when I lost my mother a few years back and the same feeling I got today morning when I got to know his status. I also very well know that this is the story of every second house now.
Here, my question is to everyone and our government, what have we done since last year? Where was the planning to fight the pandemic? Where is the action plan and where are the researches and the availability of required medicines? Why has our system failed to keep people safe from it? Why could the supreme leader of the nation reach out to his people? It is because this government is not the people’s government. What kind of control or planning do these people have? Please pay attention, India is facing ‘MASS EXTINCTION’ in terms of people!! Are we all ok with it? Every single day, people are dying here and there, nearby, next door and the situation has become so terrifying!
Where is the lack? Whose fault is this? Every process is a two-way process and unless and until both the government and the people of the nation come together in this, we are not going to overcome this. What will you do with your wealth if you cannot save yourself or anyone around? It is a community of people, by the people and for the people and we cannot live in isolation and the government should also take note of it. The year 2020 and 2021 have come out as big torture for the people around the world but the condition of India has worsened instead of improving. Everything is non-available! Come on! Learn to plan! Let’s work logically and sensibly and forget elections, positions, ego, and profit. Dear Government, your people need your support and care in the true sense.
India is an agricultural country and farmers are on road since last year, demanding their rights, and no solution yet! The pandemic sets in, no solution for that, no medicines, no control over the spread of the diseases, no proper regulation of rules, no proper connection with the masses.
What is going on here? Can somebody please tell me? Poor have always been the sufferers and now also suffering. The non-availability of required facilities has made the situations for everyone tough and grim as even the rich cannot avail of them. When India as an independent nation is going to have a system? If the people of the country are not safe, not taken care of then what is being taken care of? The concrete buildings? I am surprised by the mindset of the people holding such high positions. The Health Department should be the most proficient which has become the most vulnerable and the weakest departments in this time of crisis.
Health comes first, rest everything follows and we have undoubtedly failed on this aspect and more so people have started blackmailing in these tough times when things are already out of order and control. These attributes develop in the people when they are insecure and have lost belief in the system and I pity this government that is witnessing all this in its tenure!
It is my genuine request to everyone around, let’s stand up for each other. Come out to help wherever needed, do not blackmail the ones who are already suffering, and let’s keep humanity at the top. Treat everyone as your own, you never know when is your turn! Pray and wish good for everyone and most importantly help as much as you can. We all are together in this and we will together overcome this! I also want to request our government to plan and execute everything logically and sensibly as we all are going through a very tough phase and we need guidance in a true sense that is free of any politics!
