Alert Chandigarh: These roads to remain closed from March 18-21

Chandigarh, March 16, 2026: The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has informed the public that certain roads in the city will remain temporarily affected due to ongoing work to strengthen the Tertiary Treated (T.T.) water supply system and extend water lines to remaining areas.
According to officials, road cutting work for laying T.T. water pipelines will be carried out at different locations between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM on the following dates, which may cause short-term traffic disruptions:
- March 18, 2026: Sector 25/25-W/38-W light point towards Dhanas
- March 19, 2026: Light point Sector 38/38-W towards Dadumajra
- March 20, 2026: Light point Sector 38/38-W towards Sector 25
- March 21, 2026: Entry road of Sector 38-W from Shanti Path
Authorities have requested commuters to use alternative routes during the work period and cooperate with civic agencies to ensure smooth completion of the project.
