BRP’s Youth Manifesto 2027: 2 Lakh Jobs in 750 Hours, Unemployment Allowance and Youth Empowerment: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan
Chandigarh, 14 October 2026: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan, National Vice President of the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party (BRP) and State In-Charge of Punjab Pradesh, said that the future of Punjab depends on empowering its youth through employment, education, entrepreneurship and meaningful participation in governance. Announcing the party’s proposed 10-point Youth Manifesto for the Punjab Assembly Elections 2027, Grewal said that young people need concrete opportunities and time-bound commitments rather than empty promises and political slogans.
Grewal said that the BRP proposes to initiate arrangements for providing employment opportunities to 2 lakh youth within 750 hours of forming the government, along with unemployment allowance for unemployed young men and women until employment opportunities are provided. He stated that the manifesto also focuses on government-guaranteed financial assistance and mentorship for startups, industrial investment, skill development, higher education support for eligible students, women’s empowerment, sports development and a strong campaign against drug abuse.
Grewal told the media that the party also proposes district-level Youth Career and Welfare Centres, with phased expansion to every village, to provide career counselling, job-placement assistance, overseas employment guidance and grievance redressal. He emphasised that young people should have direct opportunities to participate in government consultations and policymaking.
Grewal said, “Punjab’s youth deserve jobs, quality education, financial support and a genuine opportunity to shape their future. Our proposed agenda aims to put employment, education, empowerment and youth-led governance at the centre of Punjab’s development. We believe the state must create an environment where young people can build businesses, develop their talents and pursue their ambitions with dignity and confidence.”
He added that the BRP’s proposed 10-point Youth Manifesto seeks to address the major challenges confronting young people across Punjab, with a focus on practical action, accountability and opportunities for rural and urban youth alike.
