Only female athlete from Punjab to Twice win a medal in Powerlifting at the All India Civil Services Tournament
Chandigarh, March 19:
Firmly packing a power punch but with classical finesse, Powerlifter Rajneet Kaur has won Bronze Medal in the 57kg weight category at the All India Civil Services Weightlifting and Powerlifting (Men and Women) Tournament 2025-26 organised by Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration under the aegis of Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, New Delhi.
What makes her achievement noteworthy is that she competed raw among all equipped players.
Serving as an Inspector at the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Punjab, Rajneet has a long list of remarkable accolades blazing a trail of glory.
The trailblazer sportsperson has won bronze for second time. Earlier she won it in 2023-24. Rajneet is the only female athlete from Punjab to win a medal in Powerlifting at the All India Civil Services Tournament not once but twice.
Last year, the She also was appreciated by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann on his portal and Government of Punjab’s portal for various sports achievements which have also been chronicled in monthly Magazine of State Government - Vikas Jagriti.
Playing the role of a housewife, mother, Government officer and a sportsperson with relative ease, Rajneet Kaur doesn't wants to rest on her past laurels and wants to achieve much more for Punjab.
