Er. Inderpal Singh and Er. Hiralal Goyal Appointed as Directors in PSPCL
Patiala, March 25, 2025 – Er. Inderpal Singh and Er. Hiralal Goyal have been appointed as the new Directors at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). Er. Singh has been appointed as Director (Distribution), while Er. Goyal has been appointed as Director (Commercial).
The appointments were made by Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary of the Power Department, Punjab, for a tenure of two years from the date of appointment. However, the appointees will not be eligible to continue in service beyond the age of 65 years.
Er. Inderpal Singh - Director (Distribution)
Born on July 22, 1967, Er. Inderpal Singh joined the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) on September 16, 1991. With nearly 34 years of experience in the power sector, including 25 years in distribution, he brings a wealth of expertise in metering, distribution, P&M, enforcement, and material inspection. Before his new appointment, he served as the Chief Engineer (Enforcement) at PSPCL, Patiala, where he played a key role in strengthening the distribution system through strategic planning and construction. As an enforcement officer, he enhanced checking mechanisms and expedited the redressal of complaints. Known for his leadership and teamwork, Er. Singh remains committed to improving the distribution infrastructure across Punjab.
Er. Hiralal Goyal - Director (Commercial)
Born on June 5, 1966, Er. Hiralal Goyal joined PSEB on November 2, 1989, and has accumulated 35 years of diverse experience in several sectors of the power industry, including Distribution, Grid Operations & Maintenance, Stores, Planning, Thermal, Hydel, Enforcement, Technical Audit, and HR at PSTCL. His extensive career has equipped him with a deep understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of the power sector, enabling him to oversee PSPCL's commercial operations with strategic insight.
Strategic Vision for PSPCL
Following his appointment, Er. Inderpal Singh held a review meeting with PSPCL officials, where he emphasized the importance of maintaining an uninterrupted power supply across all sectors, including agriculture, industry, and households. He highlighted the necessity for special preparations ahead of the upcoming paddy season and assured stakeholders that both industrial and domestic power supply would remain stable during the summer months. Er. Singh also underscored the importance of the industrial sector, calling it the "backbone of the economy" and stressed the need to prioritize energy requirements to support continued economic growth.
Both engineers bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their new roles, and their leadership is expected to drive further growth and efficiency within PSPCL.
