Dalwinderjit Singh takes charge as DC Gurdaspur
To ensure the development of District Gurdaspur and to get public cooperation for better administration - DC

Gurdaspur (Punjab), March 31, 2025 - Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh has taken charge as Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur today. On reaching the Deputy Commissioner's office, a guard of honour was given to Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalvinderjit Singh by Punjab Police personnel.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh is an IAS officer of 2017 batch and earlier he was posted as OSD to Chief Secretary, Punjab. Apart from this, he has also served as an administrative officer in many districts of Punjab.
Talking to reporters after assuming office, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh said that his priority will be to take the priority schemes of the government to the grassroots level and provide their benefits to every eligible person. Along with bringing transparency, continuity and speed in government works, it will be ensured to provide good administrative services to the people of district Gurdaspur. He also appealed to the people of the district to cooperate with the district administration in the development and other works of district Gurdaspur.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh said that by following the strict orders of the Punjab Government, every activity related to drugs will be curbed in district Gurdaspur. He instructed the officers to perform their duties with dedication. He said that public interest services should be provided within the stipulated time limit.
He said that the district administration will work with full sincerity at the grassroots level to make the district drug-free by launching a special campaign under the war against drugs. He said that Gurdaspur district will play its leading role in making the state a Rangla Punjab.
On this occasion, Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G), S. Jaspinder Singh, IAS, SDM Dinanagar, Mr. Manjit Singh, SDM Gurdaspur, Mr. Rajpal Singh Sekhon, SDM Dera Baba Nanak, Mr. Jyotsana Singh, SDM Kalanaur, Mrs. Virpal Kaur SDM Fatehgarh Churian, Assistant Commissioner (General) Mr. Aditya Gupta along with other officers and the parents and other family members of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh were also present.
