Jafar Ali assumes office as Chairman of Market Committee Malerkotla; pledges dedicated services

Malerkotla (Punjab), April 1, 2025: Jafar Ali officially took charge as the Chairman of the Market Committee Malerkotla, in the presence of MLA Dr. Jamil Ur Rehman, party leaders, and a large gathering of supporters.
The swearing-in ceremony turned into a grand rally, attended by party volunteers, Panch-Sarpanch representatives, workers, and notable personalities from the region.
Congratulating Jafar Ali on his appointment, MLA Dr. Jamil Ur Rehman reaffirmed the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) commitment to recognizing honest, hardworking, and loyal volunteers.
He emphasized that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government prioritizes employment, education, healthcare, and electricity reforms, working towards a transparent and progressive Punjab.He expressed confidence that Jafar Ali will uphold these values and serve the people diligently through the Market Committee.
In an emotional address, Jafar Ali thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, MLA Malerkotla, and the party leadership for their trust in him. He vowed to work tirelessly to address the concerns of farmers, commission agents (arhtiyas), and the local market community.
He emphasized that in the AAP government, service to the people matters more than status, and he is determined to lead the Market Committee towards growth and efficiency.
Several dignitaries, including Punjab Genco Limited Chairman Navjot Singh Jarg, Punjab Panseed Chairman Mahinder Singh Sidhu, Chairman Market Committee Sandor Karamjit Singh Kuthala, and various party leaders, attended the event.
They lauded Jafar Ali’s dedication and expressed hope that his leadership will bring positive change to the Market Committee.
The event also saw the participation of Deputy Mandi Officer Deen Pal Singh, Superintendent Market Committee Harpreet Singh, Arhtiya Association President Tarsem Singh Bhudan, and other prominent community members, who extended their best wishes to the newly appointed chairman.
