Chandigarh Adm repatriates Executive Engineer Sahil Sharma to Punjab cadre

Chandigarh, August 25, 2026: The Chandigarh Administration has ordered the immediate repatriation of Executive Engineer Sahil Sharma to his parent department in the Punjab Government.
Sharma, who was serving as Executive Engineer (XEN) in Project Public Health Division No. 7 on deputation from Punjab, has been relieved of his duties in Chandigarh with effect from August 24, 2026.
According to an official order issued by the Chandigarh Administration’s Engineering Department on August 24, Sharma will now rejoin the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation, Government of Punjab.
The order, issued on behalf of the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, directs the Superintending Engineer, Project Public Health Circle, Chandigarh, to relieve Sharma after making necessary arrangements for the functioning of the division.
The department has been asked to ensure continuity of work until a regular officer is posted or another administrative arrangement is made.
