Every section must support 'War on Drugs': Dr. Nidhi
Ferozepur, April 5, 2025: The District Health Society Ferozepur meeting, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Dr. Nidhi Kumud Bambah, was held to review the progress of various national health programs.
While presiding over this meeting, ADC Dr. Nidhi discussed in detail the drug de-addiction centers, rehabilitation centers, and OAT centers running in the district under the "War on Drugs" campaign, keeping in mind the goal of making Ferozepur district drug-free. She appealed for the support of every section to make Ferozepur district drug-free and said that this is the primary duty of all of us.
She asked all the health officers present that patients coming to health institutions should not face any kind of problem, and people should get maximum benefit from health schemes. Special attention should be paid to the necessary check-ups of pregnant women, institutional deliveries and vaccination of newborns.
On this occasion, the program officers of the department gave detailed information about the goals and achievements of their programs, which included vaccination, National TB Control Program, HIV, Leprosy, UDID, School Health Program, Blindness Control Program, IDSP, National Vector Borne Disease Control Program and Food Safety etc. and discussions were held.
ADC said that 100 percent achievement of the goals of the health programs set by the government should be ensured, and all the program officers should ensure the implementation of the national health programs at the village level so that people can get the maximum benefit of health facilities.
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajwinder Kaur, all senior medical officers, program officers, and officers from various other departments were present.
