Jagjit Dallewal’s Hunger Strike Continues on Day 59; Farmers Urged to Join Prayers on Jan 30

Khanuari, January 23, 2025 – Farmers’ leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s indefinite hunger strike entered its 59th day at the Dattasinghwala-Khanuari protest site. According to a medical bulletin released by doctors, his health is gradually improving after spending time in fresh air and sunlight.
Farmers’ leaders announced that a Sri Akhand Path Sahib will commence at the protest site on January 28, with the concluding ceremony to take place on January 30. They have appealed to farmers to gather in large numbers on January 30 to participate in prayers and support the movement.
Jagjit Singh Dallewal attributed the success of the ongoing farmers’ protest to the blessings of Waheguru and the Gurus, expressing hope for divine guidance to achieve the movement’s goals. He said, “I have not done anything myself; it is Waheguru who has blessed the movement and given wisdom to the central government. I pray that Waheguru continues to strengthen this protest.”
Farmers’ leaders have urged all supporters to join the prayer ceremony on January 30 and pray for Dallewal’s better health and the success of the movement.
Meanwhile, as per the program announced by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, tractors will hit roads across the country from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Republic Day, January 26. Preparations for this event are in full swing.
