Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh selected for Best Election Practice Award
Chief Electoral Officer Punjab will honour him on National Voter's Day on 25th January

Deputy Commissioner Mansa Kulwant Singh IAS has been selected for the Best Election Practice Award. According to the letter issued by the Office of the Chief Election Officer Punjab, Kulwant Singh will be honoured with this award during the state-level function to be held on January 25 at Ludhiana on the occasion of National Voter's Day.
Kulwant Singh is being bestowed with this honour for his exemplary services rendered as Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer in District Moga. During his stint at Moga, Kulwant Singh made tireless efforts to educate voters and increase electoral participation. Efforts were made to increase the vote percentage, increase the participation of transgender voters in voting, reach voters living in slums, ensure the participation of disabled, senior citizens, journalists, women voters in voting, which was fruitful.
Apart from this, he also made the new voters aware about the exercise of the right to vote through voter awareness rallies under the banner of "Youth Chalya Booth". Similarly, he contacted more than 5 lakh voters with the help of Anganwadi workers and made the voters aware. Along with this, a sweep wall was also prepared to educate the people coming to the district administrative complex about voting. Mr. Kulwant Singh also encouraged the passengers to vote by riding the buses himself, which increased the voter turnout drastically in Moga district.
