Transfers Breaking: Seven Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors transferred

Srinagar (J-K), August 18, 2026: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sopore, has ordered the transfer and posting of seven police personnel, including inspectors and Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs), with immediate effect.
As per the reshuffle order, Inspector Ayaz Rasool Geelani has been transferred from District Police Lines (DPL), Sopore, and posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Dangiwacha.
Inspector Iftkhar Hussain has been transferred from Police Station Tarzoo and posted as SHO of Police Station Sopore.
Inspector Syed Owais Geelani has been transferred from DPL Sopore and posted as SHO of Police Station Panzalla.
Inspector Syed Junaid Showkat, who was serving as SHO of Police Station Dangiwacha, has been transferred to DPL Sopore and posted as RI/C ERSS/PCR Sopore.
Inspector Mohammad Shafi has been transferred from Police Station Panzalla and posted as SHO of Police Station Tarzoo.
Among the PSIs, Khalid Mehmood has been transferred from In-Charge Police Post Frutimandi and posted as In-Charge Police Post Watergam. PSI Mohammad Owaise has been transferred from In-Charge Police Post Watergam and posted as In-Charge Police Post Frutimandi.
The transfers and postings have been ordered with immediate effect.
