Trio booked for using counterfeit Notary stamps in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 12, 2024: Ferozepur police have registered a case against three accused for using counterfeit Notary stamps in Ferozepur, under Sections 318(4), 336(2), 336(3), 338, 339, 340(2), and 61(2) of the BNS Act based on a complaint filed by Advocate Satnampal Kamboj, Notary Public, District Courts Ferozepur. The accused include Lakhwinder Singh of Asif Wala village, Daljit Singh of Mallanwala, and Balwinder Singh, alias Billu, of Shanti Nagar, Ferozepur.
The case, under investigation by IO Salwinder Singh, alleges that the three accused, working as typists and petition writers in Ferozepur, along with Nirmal Singh from Tarn Taran, engaged in forgery and fraud for nearly nine years.
According to the complaint, the accused used counterfeit notary stamps of the complainant on photocopied documents, forged his signatures or obtained them fraudulently, and created fake documents. These forged materials were reportedly used to conduct various illegal activities, defrauding unsuspecting individuals and collecting substantial amounts of money.
Following preliminary investigations, the case has been registered, and further inquiry is underway to uncover the extent of the accused's operations.
