US Embassy issues stern warning to Indian visa holders

New Delhi, July 12, 2025 — In a strong message to Indian nationals holding U.S. visas, the United States Embassy in India has issued a clear warning: any violation of American laws or immigration rules could lead to immediate deportation.
The advisory, issued on Saturday, comes amid a continued crackdown on immigration violations under the Donald Trump administration’s renewed enforcement policies.
"U.S. visa screening does not stop after a visa is issued," the Embassy emphasized. "We continuously monitor visa holders to ensure they comply with all U.S. laws and immigration rules — and we will revoke their visas and deport them if they don't."
This warning is part of a broader effort by U.S. authorities to tighten immigration checks, even after individuals enter the country. Officials have ramped up post-entry surveillance to identify those misusing student, work, or visitor visas.
