Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj meets 5-member committee, affirms his commitment to Sri Akal Takht's directives

Amritsar (Punjab), March 18, 2025: Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, emphasized the need for Panthic unity while meeting the five-member Committee at the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat today.
In a press statement, Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj explained that due to his responsibilities during Hola Mohalla, he was unable to review the December 2 decisions of Sri Akal Takht Sahib or the ongoing matter related to the Shiromani Akali Dal recruitment process.However, he reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the directives of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He welcomed the positive response from Shiromani Akali Dal's Working President, Balwinder Singh Bhunder, who, in a recent press conference, expressed support for Panthic unity.
The meeting with the Bharati Committee members today focused on fostering unity among Panthic organizations and ensuring collective efforts to safeguard Sikh institutions.
Jathedar Gargaj stressed that unity among all Panthic factions is crucial to addressing challenges faced by the Sikh community.He assured that steps will be taken to bring all parties together and create a conducive environment for collaboration.
The committee members expressed unanimous support for Panthic unity, and discussions will continue to ensure the Sikh Panth moves forward in a unified and strong direction.
