Sukhwinder Bindra appointed as Special Member of National Consultative Committee on de-addiction and rehabilitation

New Delhi, April 5, 2025: The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment appointed Sukhwinder Singh Bindra as a Special Member of NCCDR. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, who is also a National Member of NISD in Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has been entrusted with this significant responsibility by Nominating him a Special Member of NCCDR, National Consultative Committee on De-addiction and Rehabilitation to look after Punjab inthis regard.
Due to his tireless efforts to eradicate drug addiction. Prior to this, he served as the Chairman of Punjab's Youth Development Department.
Bindra expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virender Kumar for this appointment.

He assured that he would continue to work diligently towards achieving the government's goals in combating drug addiction.
In his statement to the media, Bindra highlighted the government's initiative to strengthen self-help organizations to inspire youth to overcome addiction.He also announced plans for a massive rally in Amritsar to raise awareness against drug abuse.
He said that the Minister of the Social justice and Empowerment Doctor Virender Kumar is likely to Participate in the Rally .
