Indian Army honours Ferozepur Citizens and Administration for support during Operation Sindoor
Participants pledged to work with dedication and unity
Ferozepur, May 23, 2025: The Indian Army organised a special event named Ekta Shakti to felicitate and thank the civil administration and citizens of Ferozepur district for their invaluable support and contribution during Operation Sindoor. Senior officers from the Army and the civil administration attended the event.
This event highlights the synergy among the Indian Army, civil administration including and other security forces. It emphasised the crucial role such coordination plays in maintaining security and peace. It also underscored the significance of joint efforts in providing essential services and security assistance by the district’s farmers, common citizens, and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General RS Manral, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding 7 Infantry Division, said, “The vital contribution of the civil administration played a key role in making our operation successful. Their prompt response, regional knowledge, and ability to mobilise resources have helped us overcome various challenges. We are deeply grateful for their continuous support and unwavering commitment.” Representatives of the civil administration also shared their experiences of working with the Army and assured full cooperation in the future as well.
The event served as a platform to strengthen partnerships among all institutions and to enhance future cooperation. The Indian Army appreciated the role of citizens in national service and recognised their significant contributions.
