Becoming fourth largest economy of the world a big achievement for India: Union Minister Manohar Lal

Chandigarh, May 25, 2025 - Union Minister for Energy, Housing and Urban Development Sh. Manohar Lal today listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme in Karnal with his colleagues. From Operation Sindoor to innovation, culture, public welfare and self-reliant India, he listened to the Prime Minister's inspiring thoughts and took inspiration from them.
After listening to the programme, Manohar Lal said 'Mann Ki Baat' programme is not only a medium to understand the priorities of the government, but it is also a strong platform for public participation. After this, while talking to the media, he said the Prime Minister addressed the country through the 122nd episode of Mann Ki Baat.
Like every time, PM Modi narrated some inspiring incidents. In response to a question, Sh. Manohar Lal said India has become the fourth largest economy in the world, which is a big achievement. The country is constantly moving forward under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
Today India has become the fourth largest economy of the world and has left Japan behind, and by the year 2027, it can become the third largest economy of the world and by 2047, it can also reach the second or first position, he said.
He said on completion of 100 years of independence of the country in 2047, not only India should become a developed country but every province should also develop.
With this objective, development work is being done by the central and state government to reach every village and give the benefit of every scheme to the public.
On this occasion, Speaker of Haryana Assembly and Gharaunda MLA Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, MLAs Sh. Ram Kumar Kashyap, Sh. Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, . Yogender Rana and Mayor Renu Bala Gupta and other officials were present.
