Chandigarh, August 1, 2025 – The Haryana Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, has approved a series of important decisions during its latest meeting held in Chandigarh.
A major highlight was the announcement that the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha will commence on August 22, with its duration to be finalized by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC).
Addressing a press conference following the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Saini shared that the government is actively working to strengthen welfare measures, accelerate development, and maintain law and order across the state.
The Cabinet reiterated the government’s pro-poor approach, with the Chief Minister stating that the Central and State Governments have prioritized welfare policies aimed at uplifting the underprivileged, contrasting them with the alleged elitist policies of previous regimes.
The Cabinet also discussed the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, and the Chief Minister announced that an action plan is being finalized for its rollout. A dedicated online portal for the scheme is expected to be launched soon, streamlining access and ensuring transparency.
The meeting reinforced the government’s commitment to law and order. Directions were issued to ensure prompt police action against criminal elements.
Additionally, in a move welcomed by the farming community, the Cabinet took note of the upcoming 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), to be disbursed on August 2.
During the post-meeting briefing, CM Saini criticized the Congress for focusing on misinformation rather than addressing governance issues in states ruled by their party.
The Cabinet meeting was attended by senior officials, including Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, DGPR Sh. K.M. Pandurang, and Media Secretary Sh. Praveen Atre, who were also present at the press conference.
