New Delhi, February 27, 2026: Veteran social activist Anna Hazare on Friday reacted to the verdict of the Rouse Avenue Court discharging former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the excise policy case, saying the decision of the judiciary must be accepted.
Speaking to the media, Hazare emphasized the central role of the judiciary in maintaining stability in a diverse country like India. “Our country runs on the strength of its judicial and security systems. Despite being such a large nation with diverse parties, castes, religions and communities, it functions smoothly because of the judiciary. Without it, there would be chaos and unrest,” he said.
Referring to the court’s ruling, Hazare added that once the judiciary has delivered its verdict stating that Arvind Kejriwal is not at fault, the decision should be respected.
