Prof (Dr) Sandeep Grover highlights proposed Binary Accreditation Framework and Role of IQAC in Institutional Excellence
SBSSU Holds One-Day Workshop, Charts Roadmap for academic Excellence and NAAC reforms
Ferozepur, July 21, 2026: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University (SBSSU), Ferozepur, organised a one-day workshop on "Quality Enhancement and NAAC Accreditation" to strengthen quality assurance practices and prepare the institution for the evolving accreditation framework.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Pankaj Kalra, who outlined the significance of quality enhancement initiatives in higher education institutions.
The keynote speaker, Prof. (Retd.) Dr. Sandeep Grover, former Officiating Vice Chancellor of J.C. Bose University, YMCA, Faridabad, conducted two technical sessions on "Quality Enhancement in Higher Education Institutions through IQAC" and "Strategies for NAAC Accreditation." He emphasized that quality is a continuous journey driven by innovation, collaboration and institutional commitment. Stressing the pivotal role of IQAC as a catalyst for excellence, Prof. Grover elaborated on NAAC's proposed Binary Accreditation Framework, its ten key attributes, and the increasing emphasis on authenticated digital data, outcome-based education, research, sustainability and measurable institutional outcomes.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor, SBSSU Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar Sharma called upon faculty members and staff to work collectively towards academic excellence and creating a learner-centric environment. Registrar Dr. Rajiv Arora appreciated the efforts of the IQAC in organising the workshop and promoting a culture of quality within the university.
Director, IQAC, Dr. Gazal Preet Singh proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the keynote speaker and all participants for making the workshop a success.
The programme concluded with the felicitation of Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Grover and the IQAC core committee members. Participation certificates were also distributed to faculty members who attended the workshop.
