Patiala (Punjab), July 21, 2026: Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher on Tuesday said that farmers intend to travel to Delhi peacefully and have no plans for any confrontation with the authorities.
Addressing the media in Patiala, Pandher alleged that the Haryana and Central governments have erected barricades to prevent farmers from entering the national capital. He said the farmers remain willing to hold talks with the administration and are approaching the matter with a peaceful mindset.
"We do not want conflict. We want to go to Delhi peacefully," Pandher said, adding that the farmers are open to dialogue and have not adopted a confrontational approach.
He also claimed that some farmers have been detained by the authorities and demanded their immediate release.
