District-Level Kabaddi and Volleyball SPANDAN League 2026 to Be Held at BSF Sector HQ Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 21, 2026: The Opening Ceremony of the District Level Kabaddi and Volleyball SPANDAN League 2026 – “Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation” was held on 19 September 2026 at Cantonment Stadium, Ferozepur. The Kabaddi matches are being conducted on 19 and 20 September, while the Volleyball matches are scheduled from 25 to 27 September 2026.
Brig (Retd.) Vijai Singh Rana, VSM, DIG, Sector HQ Ferozepur, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sh. S. N. Goswami, Comdt, 155 Bn BSF and Chairman, Executive Committee, along with other officers and officials, was also present.
The Chief Guest addressed the participants and formally declared the SPANDAN League 2026 open. The participating players and team captains collectively took the SPANDAN Sports Oath, reaffirming their commitment to sportsmanship, discipline and fair play. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph with the Chief Guest.
Kabaddi matches commenced On 19.09.2026 from 0900 hrs onwards as per schedule. A total of 339 Kabaddi players, including boys and girls, representing 30 teams, along with officials from nearby border areas, participated with great enthusiasm.
The event provided an excellent platform for youth from the border areas to come together through sports, promoting teamwork, discipline, camaraderie and the spirit of peace.
The opening ceremony was conducted successfully with enthusiastic participation and a vibrant sporting spirit.
