MLA Kulwant Singh flags off three pilgrimage buses from Mohali under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra

Mohali (Punjab), September 22, 2026: Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh on Tuesday flagged off three buses from the constituency under the Punjab government’s Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme.
One bus departed from Manak Majra village and two from Mote Majra. Singh said around 160 buses from the Mohali Assembly constituency have so far been sent to destinations including Sri Darbar Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Ram Tirath, Wagah Border, Jallianwala Bagh, Khatu Shyam, Salasar, Vrindavan and Haridwar.
Singh said arrangements for food, accommodation and transportation had been made for senior citizen pilgrims travelling under the scheme.
He also said Punjab government welfare schemes were being implemented equally across different sections, citing health insurance coverage of up to ₹10 lakh and free electricity up to 300 units per month.
On financial assistance for women, Singh said earlier instalments of ₹1,000 or ₹1,500 had been received by beneficiaries and claimed that another instalment was due on October 1.
AAP leaders and local representatives were present at the flag-off event.
