Chandigarh, October 7, 2026: The Policy Advisory and Network for Joint Progress (PANJ) Foundation will release its 15-year data report, “State of Punjab: Data Story of 15 Years,” at the Chandigarh Press Club on Thursday.
The report will be released at 11:30 am on October 8 and examines Punjab’s socio-economic trajectory over the past 15 years, covering different political regimes and changing governance priorities.
According to the PANJ Foundation, the report brings together data on key indicators including Punjab’s economy, employment, crime and the drug crisis. It provides a five-year-wise assessment of structural changes, policy outcomes and developments in the state over the period.
The report is being released ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections and seeks to present a data-based account of Punjab’s development trajectory over the last decade and a half.
The report release will be followed by a panel discussion featuring economists and PANJ Foundation advisors, including Prof. Lakhwinder Singh, Prof. Upinder Sawhney and Prof. Aswini Kumar Nanda.
The foundation said the report seeks to examine the changes in Punjab’s socio-economic indicators across successive political regimes and shifting policy priorities.
