CPR training sessions held Railway Hospital for operational staff
Ferozepur, January 24, 2026: A CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session was organised today at the Divisional Hospital, Firozpur Division, under the guidance of Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Ranjana Sehgal.
The session, conducted by Dr. Kamal Kumar, focused on equipping operational department employees with essential life-saving skills. Participants received basic instructions on CPR techniques and hands-on demonstrations using mannequins to practice the correct method.
A total of 25 employees actively participated in the training. The primary objective was to empower frontline railway staff with the knowledge and confidence to provide immediate assistance in emergency situations, potentially saving lives during unforeseen incidents.
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar emphasized that such initiatives will continue across the division. “We are committed to regularly providing CPR and first aid training to frontline staff so that timely primary medical assistance can be extended to rail passengers in any emergency,” he stated.
This effort aligns with ongoing railway endeavors to enhance passenger safety and emergency preparedness through skill development programs for employees.
