Gurdaspur: 'CM State Centre for Competitive Examination' approved in Government College
The youth of Gurdaspur will no longer need to go to distant cities like Kota to prepare for IAS/IPS/PCS examinations, free coaching will be available in the centre established at Government College Gurdaspur

Gurdaspur (Punjab), April 27, 2025 Gurdaspur has received another big gift due to the efforts of Raman Bahl, Chairman of Punjab Health Systems Corporation.The Punjab Government has approved the CM State Centre for Competitive Examination in Government College Gurdaspur which will start soon.
Giving information in this regard, Chairman Mr. Raman Bahl said that he has always been active in ensuring that the residents of the border district of Gurdaspur, especially the youth and students, get maximum opportunities to move forward.
He said that when our youth complete their graduation studies, due to lack of proper coaching for the preparation of competitive examinations like IAS/IPS/PCS, our youth often lag behind in these examinations.He said that our youth has a lot of talent, they just need proper guidance and support.
Raman Bahl said that keeping this need of the youth in mind, he had approached Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Higher Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains and demanded a CM State Center for Competitive Examination for Gurdaspur.
Bahl said that he is very happy to inform that the Punjab Government has approved the CM State Center for Competitive Examination at Government College Gurdaspur on his demand and coaching classes will start in this center very soon.
Chairman Raman Bahl said that in this CM State Center for Competitive Examination, coaching will be provided by the state government absolutely free of cost. Apart from this, the students taking coaching will also be provided with free hostel facility and pocket money.
He said that there will be about 500 seats in this center and Guru Nanak Dev University will conduct an entrance exam for this coaching center.He said that only those students who have done their studies from a government school or government college will get admission in this center.
He said that expert teachers from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and other colleges will prepare the youth for competitive examinations in this coaching center.
Chairman Raman Bahl said that now the youth of district Gurdaspur will not have to go to Kota and other distant cities to prepare for competitive examinations like IAS/IPS/PCS, because now they will get this coaching only at the CM State Center for Competitive Examinations which is going to be started at Government College Gurdaspur.
He has appealed to the youth to get admission in this coaching center and get coaching and make their dreams come true by getting high-ranking jobs.
Chairman Raman Bahl has thanked the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Higher Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains for fulfilling this very important demand of the youth.
