Mohali (Punjab), September 28, 2025: The Fashion Design Department at CGC University, Mohali, captivated the audience at the Chandigarh Times Fashion Week with its bold and contemporary collection, “Vagabond Vogue.” The showcase brilliantly captured the spirit of the new generation their daring creativity, innovative thinking, and commitment to sustainable fashion.
The students elevated the art of recycling by ingeniously reimagining old blazers into stunning new pieces. These upcycled designs, adorned with pearls, stonework, and reused embellishments, were not only glamorous but also conveyed a powerful message to the fashion world: that style can be intrinsically linked with affordability and a conscious value system.

The second facet of the collection shone through bold colour-blocking and artisanal crochet detailing. Vibrant hues, geometric patterns, and handcrafted textures created ensembles that masterfully conversed between tradition and modernity.
The entire collection reflected the mindset of a generation that views fashion not merely as clothing, but as an art form that resonates with sustainability, identity, and innovation.
Praising the students' unique presentation, Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director of CGC University, stated, “We are incredibly proud of our students’ exhibition. This was not just a fashion show; it was a presentation of a mindset that is deeply connected with sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility. CGC University always encourages students to think out-of-the-box so they can become the future leaders and change-makers.”
This remarkable presentation not only highlighted the students' competence but also reinforced CGC University, Mohali's commitment to empowering learners to go beyond the classroom, positioning them as innovators and leaders in the global fashion industry.
