Charanjit Channi is CM face for Punjab Congress (Watch Video)

Chandigarh, February 6, 2022: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced Charanjit Singh Channi as party's CM face for Punjab Assembly Election 2022.
Rahul Gandhi termed the task to choose a CM candidate as "very difficult".
He made the announcement during a virtual rally in Ludhiana.
"A leader is not made in 10-15 days. He is born from fights and struggles. Sidhu, Channi, Jakhar all of them have walked on difficult paths and learned. Too difficult to pick a diamond among so many diamonds," said Rahul Gandhi.
He said that he asked the people of Punjab who they want as Punjab CM.
Earlier, Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu had announced that all will abide by Rahul Gandhi's decision.
"I have accepted Rahul Gandhi's decision...if I am given decision-making power, I will finish the mafia, improve people's lives. If not given power, I will walk with a smile with whomever you make CM," said Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu during a virtual rally in Ludhiana.
