DEO honours 13 teachers on behalf of Rotary Club
Ferozepur, September 5, 2026: Rotary Club Ferozepur City organised a special function at Sai Public School here on Friday to celebrate Teachers’ Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of former President of India and Bharat Ratna Dr S. Radhakrishnan. District Education Officer (DEO) Manila Arora was the chief guest, while Aman Sharma, SA attended the function as a special guest.
Rotary Club Ferozepur City Chairman Vijay Monga, President Vijay Dhawan, Secretary Sohan Lal Khatri and Sai Public School Principal Sunir Monga welcomed the guests.
On behalf of Rotary International and Rotary District 3090 Governor Rotarian Amit Singla, the DEO honoured all the 13 teachers of Sai Public School with the ‘National Builder Awards’ in recognition of their contribution to education and nation-building.
Congratulating the teachers on Teachers’ Day, Manila Arora said teachers play a vital role in shaping the future of society and the nation. She urged them to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and a strong sense of commitment, stressing that the values imparted by teachers help shape future generations.
Rotary Club Ferozepur City Treasurer Prem Dhawan, along with Surinder Narang, Rakesh Manchanda, Pramod Kapoor, Ashok Pasricha, Om Prakash Nikka and other members of the club were also present on the occasion.
