All Haryana Road Safety Quiz Competition-2024 held at school and college levels
Over 44 lakh students participated in the competition, spreading the message of road safety

Chandigarh, November 24, 2024: The All Haryana Road Safety Quiz Competition-2024 was successfully organized in all schools and colleges across the state with the aim of inculcating a culture of road safety among children.
Over 44 lakh students participated in the competition, setting a record and spreading the message of road safety.
Director General of Police, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur said that students are the most powerful medium to create awareness about road safety and traffic rules. He said that students in schools and colleges are the best teachers.
Through this quiz competition, students will not only be aware of road safety themselves but will also share important information about following traffic rules with their parents.He said that road safety is a serious issue and due to lack of information about safe driving, people often become victims of road accidents.
He said that road safety depends on three factors: driver, vehicle, and road quality, and the role of the driver is the most important out of these. Lack of driving skills is the main cause of road accidents and awareness about it is very important among the common people.He informed that many important works have been done under this campaign to make Haryana's roads safe for the common people.
All students were made aware of road safety rules through various quiz competitions. In addition, necessary improvements were made in road engineering as per the requirement and the accountability of the concerned department was ensured. Not only this, but an initiative was also taken to provide immediate health facilities to the accident victims immediately after the accident.
Road safety knowledge centers and road safety clubs were established in all schools, colleges, and universities and their operation was done.
A road safety fund was established and arrangements were made to provide adequate funds to all interested institutions and departments. Not only this, but driver training centers were also established in all cities and training was provided there.
