Kejriwal Deceiving Delhi Voters, Engaging in Criminal Violations of Election Code: Tarun Chugh
New Delhi, January 30, 2025:
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh strongly condemned AAP leaders, led by Arvind Kejriwal, for blatantly violating the Model Code of Conduct in the Delhi elections through criminal and unethical means.
He said that a vehicle with a Punjab number plate was intercepted by the Flying Squad team in New Delhi district, exposing the blatant misuse of resources under the Kejriwal-led AAP. The vehicle, apprehended right outside Punjab State Bhawan in Delhi, was found carrying a significant amount of cash along with AAP’s campaign material. Notably, this incident occurred within the constituency of Arvind Kejriwal himself, raising serious concerns about the party’s conduct and accountability.
Taking strong exception to AAP leaders using Punjab government vehicles to transport liquor and cash to bribe voters, Chugh said Kejriwal and his party had hit a new low in subverting democracy.
“The way the Delhi Police caught a Punjab government vehicle carrying liquor, cash, and election material is just the tip of the iceberg. It reflects AAP’s desperation to violate all democratic norms,” Chugh remarked.
Chugh also lashed out at Kejriwal and AAP leaders for misleading and spreading panic among voters in the name of the Yamuna issue.
“The entire population of Delhi knows that Kejriwal has failed to make the Yamuna pollution-free. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has already filed a criminal case against him,” Chugh pointed out.
After ruling Delhi for a decade, Kejriwal’s party is now resorting to desperate tactics to manipulate voters. However, Chugh asserted that the people of Delhi are ready to reject Kejriwal and his party, ensuring they are consigned to political oblivion in the upcoming elections.
